the 75th Annual Kappa Kappa Gamma Holiday Homes Tour
Welcome to the 2026 Kappa Holiday Homes Tour! What began in 1951 as a few Kappas decorating one home with hand-made decor has evolved into a beloved Kansas City tradition showcasing some of Kansas City’s most beautiful homes decorated for the holidays. We are excited to share all we have in store for this special seventy-fifth anniversary tour!
This year will bring the elements you’ve come to love: four homes decorated for the holidays by local florists, our Holiday Boutique with vendors and our traditional Kappa Gourmet items, our specially crafted Holiday Homes Tour Pickwick candle, and our Cocktails and Candlelight preview night. For this year’s special anniversary, we are thrilled to offer a limited-edition Irma Starr ornament for purchase, a patron’s party for our sponsors, and two new special events: a Mahjong night and a wreath-making event.
Since 1951, the Kansas City Kappas have raised over three million dollars for local charities and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. Funds raised in 2026 will benefit Do Good for Erin and Birthday Connections in addition to the foundation. We are so grateful for our volunteers, tour goers, donors and sponsors who have kept our event going strong since 1951. Thank you for your continued support.
Stay connected with this website and our Facebook and Instagram for updates and information on this year’s events. We can’t wait to celebrate 75 years with you!

2026 Beneficiaries
Our beneficiaries, Do Good for Erin, Birthday Connections and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation, rely on funds from organizations like the Kappa Holiday Homes Tour to maintain day-to-day operations and fund special programs. Through ticket sales, Holiday Boutique purchases, and Owl Friend donations, we aid their missions to support our local communities.
Do Good for Erin (DGFE) started in 2019 to honor Erin Langhofer, a 2012 Kappa Kappa Gamma pledge (Omega) and Kansas City KKG alumna, after her tragic murder during a First Friday event in the Crossroads.
The organization began with an unassuming comfy clothing drive, with the surprisingly large collection of clothes donated to the Rose Brooks Center, where Erin was a social worker. In the years following, the clothing drive grew into a major event, raising funds for essential projects. At shelters throughout the Kansas City area, DGFE has built playgrounds, renovated commercial kitchens, purchased vans, and established therapy space for children and adults.
By 2022, Do Good for Erin was ready to move to larger projects. That year, DGFE sponsored the renovation and furnishing of Erin’s House I, under the umbrella of Healing House in Kansas City, Missouri. At Erin's House, mothers in substance abuse recovery who are also domestic violence survivors are housed with their children with the goal of rebuilding their lives together. In 2024, Friends of Yates, a Kansas City, Kansas, center for domestic abuse survivors and their families, was the beneficiary of the annual drive. Erin’s House II, in partnership with Friends of Yates, will provide a sanctuary for FOY clients as they move back into the mainstream.
Since 2019, Do Good for Erin has raised $1.2 million for domestic violence survivors in the KC area. Moreover, the Do Good for Erin Foundation funds two annual $5,000 scholarships at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. DGFE supports the kinds of clients Erin held most dear and has demonstrated a commitment to keeping the energy going into the next generation.
At Birthday Connections, our mission is ensuring all children are celebrated on their birthdays during life’s hardest moments.
Life's hardest moments look different for every family’s circumstance that make birthday celebrations feel impossible: unexpected medical bills, job loss, housing challenges, family crisis, or simply making ends meet on a tight budget. If you're working with one of our partner agencies, ask about being referred to shop in the Birthday Market™.
The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation provides educational scholarships for undergraduate and graduate women, equipping women with resources to spark change and uphold shared values.
