From florists to permits/police, catering to Shop space, printing to mailings…there are significant monetary costs, as well as volunteer demands, necessary to produce our Holiday Homes Tour each year. We are diligently managing our expenses and looking for creative ways to eliminate costs. We are also very grateful to our generous sponsors for helping to underwrite some of our costs.
In recent years, roughly $35-40,000 of expenses (after underwriting) must be covered by revenue generated from ticket and shop sales. Only then do we begin to raise proceeds for our recipients. This is one of the ways you may be able to help.
In an effort to GROW, we are asking every Kappa to consider ways she can support our Tour. One such way might be as an “Owl Friend of our Tour” through a financial contribution, in the form of a 100% tax deductible donation.
Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated as it will help to offset costs associated with this beloved Kansas City Holiday event, thereby increasing the impact of our Tour on our community.
This year’s recipients are Literacy Kansas City and Hope House. There will be many opportunities to learn about these wonderful organizations as we work to promote their missions. As always, our Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation will also benefit.
In recognition of your generosity, all “Owl Friends of Our Tour” will be listed in the printed Tour program, The Krier, our 2017-2018 Blue Book, and other Kappa communications. You will also receive a new vehicle window cling to help promote our 2017 Tour.
